The cold weather still has a firm grip around Stockholm and many birds are fighting to survive. One of the most attractive species, the Common Kingfisher, is very sensitive to cold weather and often freeze to death. As the streams keep freezing, these birds have to use the few spots available for fishing and photographers get unusual photo opportunities. I’m hoping people will give this bird the peace it needs to feed without flushing it, so it can survive the winter.
